Squeak is a 5 year old male Border Collie. Squeak is a very handsome collie who like all collies has endless amounts of energy and needs an active home. Squeak is very friendly dog and loves attention. He mixes well with dogs off lead but can be a bit worried on lead. Lack of exercise is the reason why so many Border Collie owners struggle with their dogs. They don’t exercise their dogs enough and because of that the dogs become agitated and stressed which leads to chewing, barking and other behavior problems. Border Collie need as much exercise as possible the more the better. Squeek is looking for an owner with Collie experience.

Notes from our dog trainer Squeak is a lovely Border Collie cross English Springer Spaniel, who is very much a mix of both traits of the breeds in him. He’s lively and keen to walk, and run, with a keen intelligence. He’s proving easy to train, and quick to bond to people. Unfortunately he bonds far too quickly, and once he likes someone he starts to get separation issues from them almost in the first day. He will cry, jump up and bark to get people’s attention even when they’re in the house, never mind when they leave. He will need a family willing to give him plenty of exercise, and have multiple people in the home who he can interact with, rather than get obsessed with just one. He will need a strict set of boundaries upon arrival to stop him getting more severe separation issues in the future. Kathryn the Dog Trainer thinks he will be able to reduce or get out of his clingy issues with training in his new home, but the new owners will need to speak to her before adopting him and put the plan into place to get things started right to avoid him being returned. This lad is amazing and deserves a family to love him, but will need the right one to suit his activity level and personality. Anyone thinking of adopting his lovely lad would be best speaking to Abi at the centre and Kathryn of Clever Fox Canine to learn more about his personality.
