Louie is a 14 month old English Springer Spaniel, possibly a cross. He is a young dog that behaves like a puppy still, pulls on the lead, fab off the lead unless he’s scared but even then he doesn’t go far as will always be looking for you, scared of new situations probably due to not having experienced much in his life, but he is seeing and learning lots at the moment and coming along really well. On an initial meeting he is scared of men but if he has time he will come to them. Loves food and is still skinny so will do anything for a treat, however high reward treats he will try to snatch but again that is improving daily.

Louie is totally house trained and sleeps in a crate which he is happy with overnight, he travels nicely in the car and is currently learning to get himself in the boot which is also going really well, he does drool a lot in the car. Louie is a typical young pup he is only just learning not to counter surf and steal treasures and will love to steal socks or toys if he can, he will drop them but isn’t so keen to relinquish his treasures.

Louie loves his dog toys and will happily play with a ragger by himself. He would be happy with or without another dog, he loves foster mum’s children aged 7 and 14, but due to the puppyness in him I would feel he would be suited to a home with no children under 7 or dog savvy only children, due to the stealing of toys, and him not being as gentle as he could taking high value food such as chicken, dog treats he takes perfectly.

Louie is a frightened dog that needs a loving family to give him time and attention with that he will make a cracking dog. On vets advise due to his nervousness Louie is not yet neutered and will be rehomed with a contract for this to be carried out as soon as a vet is happy to do so. The change in this boy in the time we have had him is immense and he really really will make a cracking dog with time and love and confidence building. He is in foster in Devon and he is vaccinated, chipped, wormed and flead. Adoption is subject to meet and greet, homecheck and adoption fee of £200.
